"Jamie is helpful and knowledgeable and I think would be a great help to a range of people with their running goals. He is authentic and encouraging at all times and so a positive person to spend time with. I have always enjoyed sport but never really enjoyed running. I was a bit out of shape when I signed up to do my first half marathon 8 weeks later. Jamie’s support included understanding my goals, creating a plan and giving my a range of advice. This included the speed of runs, how I was feeling, the equipment I was using and offering helpful tips. He is excellent at pacing runs which supported training. I am busy with family and work commitments and wanted an approach that was straightforward and flexible. I found Jamie’s approach was caring, personalised and tailored and never felt like it was “off the shelf”. I would highly recommend Jamie"

“I had always been curious about coaching and I am so grateful that the opportunity to be coached by Jamie arose. Jamie has such a wonderfully reassuring, calm and positive approach that I felt instantly at ease. Coaching gave me the space to explore the work issues I was getting stuck on, and under Jamie's expert guidance, reach my own solutions which felt so empowering. I finished each session feeling energised and ready to put everything we had discussed into practice; my productivity and confidence gained exactly the boost needed! Whilst I was using this in relation to my professional life, I can see that a coaching approach would be equally powerful for personal life too and wouldn't hesitate to choose Jamie again if I ever needed. I highly recommend anyone considering coaching to give it a go - the results for me were transformational! Thank you so much Jamie."

My coaching conversations with Jamie guided me as I prepared to apply for a promotion. Jamie always had the right questions to push me on to the next stage of my preparation. In moments of self-doubt (of which there were many!), Jamie helped navigate me towards a more positive and assured state of mind. I left every session feeling motivated and excited about the plans that we had shaped through the conversation. I would really recommend Jamie as a coach.

Working with Jamie is one of the best things I have done as a runner. Jamie is very accessible for help and advice and I really enjoy the training that I do under his direction and guidance. He is now someone I am proud to call a friend. I can see how much he enjoys working with a wide range of people from elite runners to new runners just starting out. I really do think he goes above and beyond as a coach and is always willing to listen to the athlete and not just apply elite level training to everyone but adapt it and alter it no matter how fast you are. He is quick to respond with feedback on sessions or general questions (even on your in-run music/song choices), and is always so encouraging and positive. I love that my training plan is so personal and also flexible, taking into account the time I have to train or making it easy to fit sessions in around travel. I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a Coach to any runner, Jamie is a great guy to have on your team!

Jamie has helped me to discover what my actual priorities are in life and how to construct habits and rituals to keep them at the top of my mind each and every day. The best thing about working with Jamie is that he doesn’t tell you what to do, but instead uses open questions to help you find the answer that you already know but haven’t had enough structure to actually put in place. I would recommend seeking Jamie out if you are ready to discover who you want to be, and to get help working out how to get there.”

Having previously run a sub 20 minute 5km about 10 years ago, I was keen to try to get close to that again. My best time recently was 20m52s and Jamie suggested that if we ran together he could pace me towards my goal. On the day the realistic target was 20m30s, the dream was 20 minutes. Jamie suggested that he paced me for 20m30s and if I had anything left for the final 1-2km that I just go for it. We went for a warm up jog just before and throughout the park run Jamie stuck by me and gave me pace updates probably every 15-20 seconds, this was very useful as I didn't have to worry about checking myself. He encouraged me throughout and gave me the motivation to keep going and keep pushing. I suspect he actually paced me slightly faster because I ended up finishing with an official park run time of 20m18s and my Strava time was 20m exactly. I couldn't believe it and couldn't have done it without Jamie's help along the way. Next step is a sub 20m official park run time, I'll be reaching out to Jamie again.

“Jamie’s coaching has been pivotal as I navigate some huge professional decisions. He has the uncanny ability of finding exactly the right question to inspire you to think at a deeper level and to undercover the core issues. His positive summarising and feedback have boosted my self-confidence and encouraged me to be bold and ambitious in my career plans. Thank you Jamie.”

I went into my coaching journey anticipating that my goal would be to climb the ladder at work, and quickly, but came out of my second session realising it is to find more balance in my life. The questions Jamie asked and the visualisation activities he guides me through, allowed me to unlock an even more powerful desire that I had been oppressing. What is most impressive is the clear step by step process he sets out, allowing me to understand how to make my transformative goal into a reality through small steps, broken down further into a checklist of achievable tasks - dated and signed so he can hold me to account! Jamie is very easy to talk to, and is a hugely reflective listener - repeating back what he has heard in summaries that draw out key feelings and realisations. He never provides answers but asks the right questions at the right time so that I can discover my own answers. Ironically, I do believe, that in allowing me to find more balance in my life - I will ultimately realise my ambitions of promotion at work, but in a more sustainable way and as a happier person.

Jamie’s organisation, enthusiasm and inclusivity are second to none in terms of encouraging some healthy and social activity on a Sunday evening. As a distinctly average runner (even when fit) the group is really supportive and welcoming which is a real credit to the community. .

I've been part of Jamie's running club for several months now, that includes an overseas half marathon. Massive kudos to Jamie for the support and motivation tailored to each members' needs, very professional and subtle in the delivery. Would recommend to whatever level just don’t expect to beat Jamie in a race!
