As a secondary teacher for fifteen years,  teaching English across the UK, Jamie is passionate about working with young people and supporting them to achieve their best. He has written five books on education and spoken at schools and educational events across the UK.

He has a full Disclosure Scotland check and has extensive experience working with young people of all ages. He strongly believes that exercising and being outdoors is vital to help support young people to flourish and manage their mental-health.

School Support

Does your school want to get more young people interested in exercise and its benefits? Is it thinking of ways to creatively support young people to manage their well-being?

Jamie can offer in-school assemblies and classes about the benefits of running and exercising in helping to build positive relationships, and to manage stress and anxiety levels. As an experienced teacher these sessions are always interactive and engaging for young people, and build in lots of movement!

He can also work with small nurture groups to help support and motivate them, and can take students on group jogs or runs to help them to see the benefits of running.  These sessions are designed to help young people’s self-efficacy and regulation of behaviour, building in strategies to help them to manage their emotions and stress-levels. 

Group Fitness Training 

Jamie can offer fitness training to teams, planning engaging and dynamic sessions to help young people feel strong and motivated. This can be pre-season fitness training, or fitness camps to help build the strength and fitness of groups. 

Run With Company for kids! 

Jamie runs an after-school Run With Company group for primary children in Cramond, Edinburgh.

This runs for ninety minutes and gets young people outside, exploring and exercising at the end of the school day. Get in touch if you would be interested in including your child in the group.
